ViewGrid is free to use; we do not sell anything through the service and do not collect payment information.
Analytics data: We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited, session duration, device type, and approximate location (country/city level). This helps us understand how the site is used and improve the experience.
Return-visit measurement: When you open a grid, your browser keeps a random number in its local storage and tells us, at most once a day, that this number opened a grid that day. We use it only to count how many viewers come back after 1, 7 and 30 days. It contains no name, email address or IP address, is not linked to your account or to any other data, and is not shared with anyone. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Turkey it is only used after you accept analytics cookies. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Account data: If you create an account (with a sign-in provider such as Google or Apple, or with your email address, through Firebase Authentication), we store your display name, email address, and profile photo. This data is used solely to provide account features such as saving layouts.
Followed channels, saved grids and reminders: If you are signed in, we store the channels you choose to follow and the layouts you save. If you ask to be reminded of an event, we store that request and send one email to your account address when the event goes live; the request is deleted once that email is sent. All of this is deleted when you delete your account.
Browser extension: The ViewGrid browser extension (Chrome, Edge and Firefox) reads the address and title of your current tab only when you click its icon, to detect the YouTube, Twitch or Kick stream you want to add. Your list of added streams is kept in your browser (the browser's local extension storage) and is never sent to us or anyone else. The extension collects no personal data and makes no network requests; opening or saving a grid simply opens https://viewgrid.tv in a new tab.
We use cookies for essential site functionality, authentication sessions, and analytics. Third-party embeds (YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Rumble) may also set their own cookies according to their respective privacy policies.
