Streaming Audience Insights · October 2026
How people used ViewGrid in October 2026
First monthly edition. 22,808 grids opened · 11,118 people · 154 countries and regions · 70% engaged sessions. All figures are ViewGrid's own measurements (first-party product telemetry and Google Analytics 4). They describe ViewGrid's audience, not all viewing on YouTube, Twitch or Kick. Aggregate data only; no individual viewer is identified.

Six things October told us
- 1
Nearly one in two measured event-link requests went to table tennis or badminton
Five table tennis and five badminton tournament pages drew 1,601 of 3,348 requests (47.8%). WTT China Smash was the busiest single page (448); Mobile Legends (MPL) followed with 587.
- 2
One election carried the news category
News was 4% of event requests, and 100 of its 129 requests went to a single page: Brazil's general election, first round.
- 3
67% of grids held three or more streams
22,808 grids were opened in October; 15% reached nine or more. The average peak was 5.6 streams per grid.
- 4
More streams, longer sessions in our samples
In October's weekly three-day samples, grids with three or more streams had medians of 5–12 minutes and up to 49% stayed open at least 15 minutes; single-stream grids usually sent no further signal after the first minute.
- 5
Sessions start around the clock
The quietest hour (04:00 UTC, 637 session starts) still had 59.5% of the busiest hour (17:00 UTC, 1,070). Weekend days averaged 716 starts against 577 on weekdays (+24%).
- 6
1,864 returning users made 7,659 sessions; the hours were not where the visitors were
GA4's new-vs-returning split: 10,686 new users, 1,864 returning. 154 countries and regions; the United States led on visitors and hours, but Indonesia, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico ranked higher on engaged hours than on visitors.

Method and limits
- Scope: ViewGrid's own audience. Nothing here measures total viewing on YouTube, Twitch or Kick, and no platform view counts are used.
- Period: grids, events and TV: 1–31 October 2026, UTC days. GA4: 1–31 October in the property calendar (Europe/Istanbul), i.e. 30 Sep 21:00 – 31 Oct 21:00 UTC; hour-of-day labels converted to UTC.
- Grids: ViewGrid's in-product signal. "Grids opened" is the sum of daily grid summaries; it is not unique people, unique grids or video plays. September has 27 measured days, so comparisons use per-day averages.
- People, sessions, countries, hours: Google Analytics 4. People = active users. Hours = GA4 user engagement time (time with ViewGrid in the foreground, not video playback); its daily series jumps on 22 September 2026 after a measurement change, so hours are reported for October only.
- Events: requests to event grid links (2 admin and 1 test request removed). Before 25 October, some fixed-channel event links were not counted; earlier records may include unmarked internal requests.
- Watch time: rolling three-day samples published in ViewGrid's weekly data posts; medians describe the sample, not all usage. Members, follows and TV counts are dated snapshots or partial-month records.
- Privacy: aggregate counts only. No individual viewer, channel or video is identified; small countries appear only in totals.
- Platforms: every stream plays in the platform's official embedded player. ViewGrid does not host, proxy or re-stream video.
