You can choose layouts for one to six streams. When you add streams, you can select a grid that arranges them on your screen. The most important feature is the ability to tap any stream to make it the "focus." This often makes it the largest video in the layout and, most importantly, switches the audio to that stream. All other streams are muted by default, so you only hear the one you’ve selected.

Audio Control

Since only one stream's audio plays at a time, you can switch between them with a single tap. Tapping a different video player instantly mutes the old one and unmutes the new one. This lets you quickly check in on commentary, listen for a key moment in another game, or switch between different camera angles of an event.

Live Chat

For streams from Twitch, YouTube, or Kick, you can open the live chat in a side panel. This lets you follow the community conversation for your currently focused stream without leaving the grid.

Setting Up Your First Mobile Grid

Creating a multi-stream layout on your phone takes just a few steps.

1. Open ViewGrid. Navigate to viewgrid.tv/m in your mobile browser or open the ViewGrid app.
2. Add your streams. You can add streams in a few ways: paste a direct link to a stream or video from YouTube, Twitch, Kick, or Rumble. You can also search for a channel by name. For YouTube, you can search for live streams directly from the "Add Stream" panel.
3. Choose a layout. Once you have two or more streams, a layout bar appears. Tap it to select a grid that works for the number of streams you've added. A 2x2 grid for four streams is common, or you might prefer a layout with one large stream and two smaller ones.
4. Manage your view. Tap on any video to make it the primary one and switch to its audio. You can also tap the fullscreen icon on any individual stream to see it in more detail, then exit fullscreen to return to your grid. For a cleaner view, you can hide the toolbar to enter an immersive mode.
5. Share your layout. If you create a grid you want to send to a friend, just copy the URL from your browser's address bar. The link contains all the information for the streams in your layout, so anyone who opens it will see the exact same setup.

The tool is only one part of the equation. A few practical habits can make your mobile viewing much more stable and enjoyable.

Watch Your Connection

Multiple video streams use a lot of data and require a stable internet connection. A weak Wi-Fi signal or spotty mobile data will cause buffering and low-quality video.
