Practical Tips for Your Multi-Stream View

Once you have your grid running, a few features can make the experience better.

Focus on a Single Stream
If something exciting happens in one stream, you can click the "Focus" icon (four arrows pointing inward) on that panel. This will make that stream large and move the others to a small column on the side. Click it again to return to your grid. You can also use the standard fullscreen button on any video player to make it take over your entire screen.

Share Your Exact Layout
The web address (URL) in your browser's address bar automatically updates to include all the streams in your current grid. This means you can share your layout with someone else just by copying and pasting the link. When they open it, they will see the exact same streams in the same arrangement. This is useful for coordinating with friends to watch an event together.

Save Your Layouts
While you don't need an account to use ViewGrid, creating a free one allows you to save your layouts. If you have a specific set of streamers you watch for a certain game or a layout you use for following esports, you can save it and load it again later with one click.

Important Considerations

A multi-stream setup is more efficient than using many tabs, but it still relies on your hardware.

Internet Connection: Watching many high-definition video streams at once requires a stable and reasonably fast internet connection. If you notice buffering, it could be a sign that your connection is being strained.
Computer Performance: Similarly, your computer is still decoding multiple videos. While it's less work than running many separate browser instances, an older computer may still struggle with a large number of streams (e.g., 12 or more).
